I tried with tunnelblick and I receive the same error : There are more than 10 alternatives to Viscosity for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone. I have been using viscosity without problems but It stopped connecting. For OpenVPN connections Tunnelblick is obviously free and generally works fine, but I prefer Viscosity, it seems a slicker interface, with a few extra features, and is more frequently updated. In the last week or two I am experiencing problems in connecting to airvpn.
